Make a list of all the items you are storing  and keep the list in a safe place so you can use it for future reference. Also we recommend that you estimate the value of each of the items thatch you intend to store for insurance purposes.

Plan how and where you are going to store your items in the self storage room as you need to store items you wish to have more frequently accessed items towards the front of the storage facility. This will save you a lot of time and hassle in the future.

Use quality packing materials and boxes to store the items in and make sure you fill all boxes to capacity, this will both protect the items, provide a solid base when stacking and also save you money as less space will be required. Also ensure all delicate items are adequately wrapped with protective wrapping such as bubble wrap.

When stacking make sure you stack lighter boxes on top of heavier boxes to avoid damaging or crushing anything.

Pack any clothing or fabrics in sealed bags, bin bags are not recommended as moisture gets trapped in the bags when closed.
